Project Manager/Estimator
Scott’s Electric is looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team in Wahpeton, ND. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality electrical projects from bid to completion while working closely with our team, clients, and subcontractors.
Essential Functions:
- Plan for and prepare estimates for electrical construction work
- Direct resources and coordinates activities involved with electrical construction and maintenance of structures, facilities and electrical systems
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with project owners and design teams
- Develop project estimate budgets
- Collaborate with vendors and others within the trade to execute subcontracts and purchase orders
- Calculation of change proposals
- Reviews and approves product shop drawings
- Coordinates labor, material and equipment needs for projects
- Verifies work is completed as estimated and conforms to project specifications
- Communicate with owners, contractors, and design team to resolve work procedure, construction, and complaint issues
- Determine labor requirements for productive project progress
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in an approved electrical course study
- Minimum 8 years electrical field experience
- Journeyman or Master Electrical license in ND or MN
Skills and Abilities
- Computer knowledge using Microsoft Office, Procore and estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, etc.)
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to adapt to change within the workplace
- Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and always maintain a professional demeanor
- Quality written, verbal and communication skills
